Solar Park O&M  Added 13/10/17

As part of our extensive solar park O&M packages, we recently undertook on-line partial discharge measurements for our client's 11kV & 33kV assets. Our detailed reporting software enables us to provide trend analysis as part of on-going condition assessment.

Firm Frequency Response Testing Added 10/10/17

We have had another Firm Frequency Response Commissioning project approved by the National Grid with our client being able to add more MW to their portfolio with NG - that's eight over the last three weeks maintaining the 100% success record. Our equipment and engineers have been able to provide all detailed inputs and data that is required by the National Grid.

Substation Commissioning CHP in Cyprus Added 04/10/17

Pannell & Partners undertook substation commissioning duties at a CHP plant in sunny Cyprus. Despite the distraction of +30°C temperatures and clear blue skies in September, we were able to successfully test over current, earth fault and G59 relays for two machines on an AD site near Limassol. Grid connection was approved shortly afterwards. Working with the group of international engineers was great fun and helping to enable our client to meet the deadline was extremely gratifying.

Hydro-electric Turbine Plant successfully commissioned Added 15/07/15

G59 Witness Testing of a hydroelectric turbine plant in Snowdonia was successfully commissioned by our G59 tester. The DNO witness test engineer was very happy with the installation and our client was able to generate power straight away. Pannell & Partners enjoys G59 testing many different types of embedded generation technologies, especially when it means visiting beautiful locations for G59 witness testing in Wales, Cumbria and Scotland.

The rain did not stop our G59 witness testing and commissioning for solar array in Merseyside.... Added 26/05/15

The weather isn't always on our side when we're on site, but this cannot prevent our client's from completing their connection and commission deadlines. It is quite common for commissioning of solar PV arrays, CHP plants and wind turbines to be carried out outside. However, G59 witness testing in the rain isn't a great idea, and H&S policy would prevent us from doing so. As such, our G59 tester carries a waterproof testing tent with enough room for all equipment, our G59 engineer and the DNO protection engineer.

Motorbike saves solar park money Added 22/05/15

Our senior consultant is also motorbike mounted so we were able to save time & money for a client in Devon when we visited their 10MW solar PV park at a reduced mileage rate.
